All Star Vacation Homes Featured on CBS 3 Philly Evening News

On May 21, 2012, Philadelphia area residents, who tuned in to KYW-TV CBS 3 Philly for the 11 p.m. Eyewitness News, learned ways to save if they were planning an Orlando vacation along with helpful tips from All Star Vacation Homes. The segment, called “3 On Your Side: Orlando Travel Deals” with consumer reporter Jim Donovan, traveled around Orlando highlighting various attractions, vacation values and deals.

Steve Trover, Chief Executive Officer of All Star Vacation Homes, discussed the money-saving options and advantages of vacation homes: “One of the big benefits of staying in a house or a condo is the kitchen. You can spend time eating and dining here as opposed to out, so you can save a lot of money.” Trover also explained how vacation homes offered values to families needing extra space, accommodating more guests and adding up to considerable savings.

Tips to Remember when Booking a Vacation Home

With multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, full kitchens, spacious floor plans, concierge and guest services along with amenities including pools and spas, recreation rooms and more, booking a vacation home provides unmatched value if you want to get the most out of your vacation dollar. However, it can be difficult choosing the right vacation home with the multitude of options available. If you’re considering a vacation home rental for your family’s next vacation getaway, consider the following tips when planning your trip.

  • Verify that the vacation rental services and facilities are reliable. Look for third-party endorsements on vacation rental websites and membership in industry associations including AAA, Better Business Bureau, Vacation Rental Managers Association, local conventions and visitors bureaus or other tourism and vacation rental management groups. It is also helpful to read guest reviews, comments and testimonials and listings on guest review websites.
  • Complete and check rental agreement. Review the terms and conditions of the rental agreement carefully. If you have any questions, please be sure to inquire about specific items prior to reserving a home.
  • Book reservations safely and securely. Only make reservations over a secure website or phone system that has the ability to accept major credit cards. You should expect to make a security or a reservation deposit.
  • Consider and inquire about travel insurance. Many professional management companies offer travel insurance to provide coverage should any unexpected or last minute emergencies cause a change to your travel plans.
  • Check for guest service contact. The vacation rental company should provide an emergency contact number that you can call at any time for maintenance issues, questions and guest services.
  • Choose a vacation home managed by a professional management company. Vacation rentals managed by a professional management company ensure quality and consistency and present a variety of hospitality services including professional cleaning and concierge services. Look for an “About Us” section on the vacation rental website for an established company history.

Great Ways to Prepare Thanksgiving Dinner in your Vacation Home

Taking your Orlando Vacation during the holidays doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a traditional family Thanksgiving meal. Here are some great ways to celebrate Thanksgiving without any of the hassle:

Avoid the grocery stores.
Don’t waste your vacation standing in lines or fighting over the last pumpkin pie. Pre-order your groceries from Garden Grocer. Everything you need to prepare dinner will be delivered to your vacation home prior to your arrival.

Stay out of the kitchen.
If you’re looking for a little more relaxation during your vacation, let someone else do the cooking. From the appetizers to dessert, Publix Supermarkets can provide you with an entire meal, complete with all the traditional dishes your family will enjoy.

Hire a personal chef.
Treat your family to a gourmet meal prepared by your own personal chef. For Thanksgiving dinner or through the duration of your stay, a personal chef is a wonderful way to enjoy delicious meals with your family during your vacation.

Vacation Homes Are the Way to Go!

Vacation Home with Private Pool in OrlandoIn the last year, the vacation rental industry has seen a significant rise. In an unpredictable economy, consumers are not necessarily spending less money, they’re spending smarter money. Travelers want their money to go further and in doing so are choosing to rent vacation homes and condos now more than ever before.

“Travelers are selecting vacation rentals for many reasons, from cost savings to the inherent values that allow families and friends to grow closer by enjoying quality time together underneath the same roof,” explains Alex Risser, President of the Vacation Rental Managers Association (VRMA) and its Discover Vacation Homes awareness initiative, the official public resource on vacation rental travel.

Not only are you getting more bang for your buck, you’re also experiencing a real family vacation without sharing it with strangers. You’ve also got your own private home, pool and backyard for the kids and more amenities than a hotel could provide. A trend is forming where vacation homes are the norm.

Consider ALL STAR Vacation Homes when planning your next Orlando vacation.

Stay at Lighthouse Key Resort & Spa on Your Orlando Vacation

The Lighthouse Key Resort & Spa Featured Guest Review for April 2011 is by D. Groshek from Michigan who stayed at 6-2001 LK-LK #304, a 3 bedroom Orlando vacation condo rental:

“We were absolutely thrilled when we opened the door of our condo; it looked exactly as nice as the online photographs. The view from our balcony was fabulous. The kitchen was fully equipped and all appliances stainless steel and spotlessly clean.

“Perfectly located for Disney; the drive there was quick and easy. Staff was very helpful, friendly and provided excellent service. Would highly recommend Lighthouse Key to anyone considering an Orlando vacation.”
