In a thrilling “battle on the beach”, Ryan Newman charged ahead of the pack to capture the trophy in the 50th annual running of the NASCAR Daytona 500 – one of Florida’s top racing events. Congratulations, Ryan!

Wide World of Sports Hosts USSSA 2007 Slow Pitch World Series
This September, Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex will host the USSSA 2007 Slow Pitch World Series. Both men’s and women’s events are scheduled for September 20-23 as part of the USSSA 2007 Majors Weekend event. Check the softball schedule for information on times and events. Other sporting activities are scheduled year-round at the complex, so check the schedule before your next visit to Orlando and catch a game between your visits to the theme parks.
