Attention “muggles”! Planning on riding Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey on your Orlando vacation?
Here’s some information, tips and a special secret about this exciting new Orlando vacation attraction at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal’s Islands of Adventure:
Test seats are located outside the ride for you to try out
Place loose items (camera bags, purses, drinks, etc.) in the lockers at the ride entrance
“Wizard” attendants are stationed outside and at the entrance to answer your questions
Secret: The ride wait times can be as long as up to 2 hours or more. To start your adventure sooner, head to the single rider line which can be as short as a 10 to 15 minute wait! Please note: if you choose this option, you won’t get to see a lot of the special rooms in the castle that the main queue line sees.

In addition to Harry Potter and other popular characters, the new 20-acre area will also feature locations from the famed series by J.K. Rowling, including:
Hogwarts Castle – home to the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride, a fully immersive journey through the world of Harry Potter.
Hogsmeade – with such shops as Zonko’s and Honeydukes, the train station and more!
Ollivanders Wand Shop – where guests can purchase wands that “choose” them.
Additional attractions include:
Dragon Challenge – a dual roller coaster that zooms guests through selected scenes from the Triwizard Tournament.
Flight of the Hippogriff – a family-friendly coaster that flies above Hogwarts castle

Dueling Dragons at Islands of Adventure is the world’s first inverted, dueling roller coaster that sets you on a high-speed adventure as Fire and Ice race through the twists and turns. Both Fire and Ice reach heights of 125 feet and reach speeds of 55 to 60 miles per hour. As you ride this roller coaster you experience a zero-gravity roll, corkscrews, five inversions and 3 near misses with the other coaster.

It’s the popular theme park with rides that will thrill, chill and scare even the most experienced adventure park aficionado in your group. With heart-throbbing rides like The Incredible Hulk coaster, Revenge of the Mummy, Dueling Dragons double coaster, the Amazing Adventures of Spider Man and more, the adventure-seeker will be sure to find something to “hang on” to! The younger ones will have plenty to do as well with rides like the Flying Unicorn, Pteradon Flyers (even the older ones like this one), the Caro-Suessel carousel and One Fish, Two Fish. One thing’s for sure…you will not have trouble fnding things to keep everyone in your group happy! It’s an all-day adventure that’s hard to top.
