Have you been following SeaWorld® Orlando’s webisodes? If so, you know that the brand new TurtleTrek attraction is finally opening this Friday, April 27! If you haven’t watched the popular webisodes, now is your chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of TurtleTrek before it opens later this week.
TurtleTrek, the world’s first 3D 360-degree domed theater experience, takes you on the incredible journey of the sea turtle, from hatching on a beach to adulthood when a sea turtle must return to lay its eggs. Understand life from a turtle’s point-of-view and see the amazing challenges and hardships turtles and other sea creatures face to survive.
TurtleTrek gives you opportunities to view actual endangered and threatened species of turtles and manatees while you learn about conservation and how to help protect marine wildlife. In the naturalistic saltwater habitat area, see a variety of adult and juvenile sea turtles including green, loggerhead, hawksbill and Kemp’s ridley sea turtles. In the freshwater habitat area, view gentle Florida manatees and discover how SeaWorld® Orlando rescues and cares for these heavy herbivores.

Looking to warm up after the winter months? This spring’s hot and spicy Viva La Música festival will leave you feeling muy caliente. Every Saturday, April 14-May 5, SeaWorld® Orlando hosts Viva La Música, a food and music festival that showcases popular Latin artists, exquisite ethnic cuisine and more.
The festival kicks off at noon with lunch. And amigos, do we mean lunch! SeaWorld’s executive chef, Héctor Colón, has created some outstanding traditional delights from South America, Mexico and the Caribbean presented along with a variety of beverages that complement each dish. On the menu are arroz con pollo (chicken with rice), lechón (roasted pork), sweet guava pastries and much more. For those of you with a curious palate, try something new like alcapurrias (Puerto Rican meat fritters) or mofongo con carne frita (plantain balls with fried pork and stock).
After lunch, don’t miss the Latin concert series starting at 3 p.m. This year’s event features internationally renowned artists who perform merengue, salsa and Spanish pop. Here is a list of entertainers:

Beyond flippers and fins, meet celebrity wildlife expert Jack Hanna and some of his animal sidekicks at the return of Jack Hanna Weekend at SeaWorld® Orlando, Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25. During this special two day series, learn about animals and conservation with rare, up close looks at endangered and exotic animals. Past animal ambassadors at Jack Hanna Weekend have included clouded leopards, kookaburra birds and eagles.
Also during Jack Hanna Weekend, SeaWorld® Orlando Pass Members can purchase tickets and attend an exclusive breakfast with “Jungle Jack.” Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast with “wild” entertainment from special animal guests. What could be better than a day of rockin’ bands, thirst-quenching brews and mouthwatering BBQ? Two days of bands, brews and BBQ! This year, SeaWorld® Orlando has expanded its Bands, Brew & BBQ Festival to include both Saturdays and Sundays, each week, through March 4.
The fun starts at 11:30 a.m., just in time for lunch! Grab plenty of napkins and satisfy your craving for authentic BBQ as SeaWorld’s culinary team, along with local restaurants, dish up some delectable plates including beef jerky, ribs and a whole lot more. To all beer enthusiasts, don’t miss the expansive beer garden for the “Brew-licious Beer Sampler” that consists of nearly 50 craft brews from domestic and international breweries.
At 4 p.m., the main concert series showcases some of your favorite artists like Sara Evans and the Doobie Brothers. The concerts take place at Bayside Stadium, and be sure to get there early because seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Here is a list of upcoming performances and festival dates:

Help support a charity and really cool off by jumping into Aquatica’s unusually frigid waters during the Polar Plunge® this Saturday! For one day, Aquatica is icing down its wave pool so that brave swimmers can experience a new kind of wintry excitement to raise money for Special Olympics Florida, which provides sports training and competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
The event takes place on Saturday, January 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and registration begins at 9 a.m. Those who raise or donate at least $100 are able to participate (minimum age is 15). Click here for registration information. Unable to attend or prefer to stay dry? You can still raise money for the Special Olympics by becoming a “virtual plunger” without getting wet. Plungers will enjoy official commemorative Plunge gear, access to the park for the remainder of the day and of course bragging rights! Fun prizes are also awarded based on the amount of money you raise.

SeaWorld® Orlando is making waves Saturdays, January 14 through February 4, with the all-new Just For Kids festival! The festival presents rides, concerts, shows and special activities designed for young children and their families.
At 8:30 and 10:30 each morning, the Just For Kids festival kicks off with an opportunity to share a fun-filled start to your day with a breakfast with Elmo! Elmo and other Sesame Street characters make appearances and give out hugs while you and your family dine on a buffet-style breakfast.
In Shamu’s Party Zone, Kids can meet Shamu and other SeaWorld friends, dance and sing to kid-friendly music and a DJ, get their face painted and make a sand art souvenir. Throughout the rest of the park, children can ride kid-sized rides and see SeaWorld animals.
The Just For Kids festival also offers a multitude of exciting activities and shows for the entire family. Your family will especially enjoy the hilarious show Elmo and Abby’s Treasure Hunt. Highlighting the festival is a schedule of concerts:

Experience life under the sea at SeaVenture, one of Discovery Cove’s newest attractions. SeaVenture offers a once-in-a-lifetime adventure allowing visitors an up close and personal opportunity to interact with aquatic life. No SCUBA lessons are necessary as an expert leads you on an underwater walking tour. Explore this water world and swim with the fish while you learn about various sea creatures close enough to touch. Tours are small and intimate at six people per group and are appropriate for ages 10 and up.
