Iceploration, a brand new 30-minute ice show opening today at Busch Gardens® Tampa Bay (located just 70 miles from Kissimmee), inspires you and your family to “explore the world” by taking audiences on a “journey” to the four corners of the earth.
Through the help of imagery from graceful ice skaters, animals, puppets, costumes and music, Iceploration tells the story of Austin, a tech-savvy pre-teen, and his grandfather, an old-world explorer. With smart phones, computers and other technological advancements, Austin believes his generation is more connected to the world than ever before, however his grandfather shows him there’s more out there to explore than what can be found on a computer screen. Austin and his grandfather go on an adventure around the globe to the African Serengeti, Great Barrier Reef, the Arctic and the Amazon rainforest.
During Iceploration, your entire family will be delighted by the story of Austin and his grandfather as you watch ice skaters skate, dance, spin and twirl on a large ice stage created by 10,000 gallons of water. You’ll also enjoy appearances by 21 live animals including an African ground hornbill, sun conures, a Siberian lynx and Siberian huskies. After the show, stay for a meet-and-greet with the cast and get your picture taken.

Using the force of repelling magnets, the coaster will launch you three times throughout the ride as you zoom through grasslands, rocket more than ten stories up and plunge 130 down into an underground trench!
In addition to Cheetah Hunt, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will also be opening Cheetah Run in Spring 2011. Located in the former Clydesdale area of Busch Gardens, Cheetah Run will feature up-close cheetah encounters through glass panel viewing areas plus daily cheetah sprints, where you’ll witness cheetahs running at full speed!

Established by the Florida Commission on Tourism to recognize outstanding tourism marketing in Florida, the Flagler Awards honor the individuals and organizations that help maintain and improve Florida’s position as one of the world’s most popular travel destinations.
Last year’s founding “Discover Vacation Homes” campaign was pioneered by eight of the most well-established vacation rental management companies in the Orlando area which, together with its Ypartnership PR team, elevated consumer awareness of the region’s vacation rentals as a viable lodging option and as one of the hospitality industry’s fastest-growing categories.
Additional support for the nonprofit organization’s award-winning PR campaign in 2008 came from leading theme park brand Worlds of Discovery Parks through a landmark program sponsorship.
