Put on your running shoes and bring your appetite for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.
This nighttime half marathon starts at ESPN Wide World of Sports at 10 p.m. and will take runners on a 13.1 mile course through Disney’s theme parks. Runners will cross the finish line at Epcot where they will take part in a special after-hours party inside the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival!

Ahoy Mateys! Today is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, and what better place to practice your “pirate-speak” than on your Orlando vacation! Take advantage of such attractions as the Pirates of the Caribbean® at the Magic Kingdom®, the Pirates Dinner Adventure, or Pirate’s Island Adventure Golf!
Here are some tips for bringing out your inner buccaneer:
- Instead of saying “I am” say “I be”
- Double up on adjectives. Pirates never speak of a “big ship” they call it a “great, grand ship!”
- Start sentences with “Arr, me hearty” and the rest will come easily!
Be sure to practice your pirate lingo before you set sail for your Orlando vacation!

“Early this year my husband and I decided it would be really nice if we could take our children and their families (in total 12 people) on a once in a lifetime all expenses paid trip for them to Disney World. Needless to say it was a big undertaking and a lot of planning on our behalf.
“ After all the months of stress and planning we finally arrived. As soon as we opened the front door all of the doubts I had imagined vanished. The house was exactly like the pictures, everything was spotless, the gated entrance added that extra security one would want in a strange place. The kids and adults all loved the swimming pool. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. What a beautiful place. We would just like to thank you all for a very memorable holiday. We will be back again.”
