Epcot Flower & Garden Festival Blossoms Next Week
Spring is in the air! And that means it’s once again time for the annual Orlando vacation favorite Epcot Flower & Garden Festival at Walt Disney World! This year’s festival, themed Celebrate Springtime, starts next Wednesday, March 18th and runs through May 31st.
See Epcot transform into a wonderland of lively magic as you discover 70 eye-popping topiaries of your favorite Disney characters, including Cinderella with Prince Charming at the main entrance, The Little Mermaid and, of course, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy – plus many more!
Highlights of the 2009 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival include:
- Lift and Sniff Fragrance Garden – get a whiff of plants and flowers used to make perfumes
- Mower Mania! – try out a remote-controlled mower and see a historical mower exhibit
- Sand Sculpture Art, Minnie’s Magnificent Butterfly Garden and other family fun
- Themed weekends like Environmentality, I Dig Bugs, Art in the Garden and more
The festival will also feature popular gardening celebrities and authors as well as gardening tips and secrets from Disney horticulturists. And for refreshment, there’s specialty beverages plus Kids’ Picks – a selection of healthy food and drink snacks from Florida.
Plus, don’t miss the ever popular Flower Power Concert Series with Davy Jones, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Herman’s Hermits – plus Chubby Checker, The 5th Dimension, Tony Orlando and many more classic acts!
