Dueling Dragons at Islands of Adventure is the world’s first inverted, dueling roller coaster that sets you on a high-speed adventure as Fire and Ice race through the twists and turns. Both Fire and Ice reach heights of 125 feet and reach speeds of 55 to 60 miles per hour. As you ride this roller coaster you experience a zero-gravity roll, corkscrews, five inversions and 3 near misses with the other coaster.

The 24th Shuttle Flight to the International Space Station is scheduled to launch on February 7, 2008 at 2:45 p.m and you’re invited! It is truly a very special event….and not just for the kids! At the Kennedy Space Center in Central Florida you can schedule an Astronaut Encounter that includes a 1/2 hour session of Q&A as well as schedule a lunch with a featured astronaut.
In January & February you will have an opportunity to meet with Story Musgrave, Al Worden, John
Fabian, John Blaha, Jon McBride and Roger Crouch. If you would like to schedule a Lunch with an Astronaut, you must call in advance and schedule your time as seating is limited.

If you can’t make it to New Orleans to experience the Mardi Gras festivities you can still take part at Universal Studios Orlando! Every Saturday night from February 2nd until April 19th Universal Studios hosts Mardi Gras in the streets with live music, a rock parade and lets not forget the beads!

For two weekends in January, guests of SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida can learn about conservation with their favorite animal ambassadors Jack Hanna and Julie Scardina!

As of January 7th, 2008 the Dixie Stampede in Orlando, Florida has officially closed their doors. After 5 years, this dinner show featuring horses, pigs, ostriches and dozens of cast members will no longer be performing their fun-filled action packed dinner show. It is not disclosed what this 13-acre site just minutes to Disney World will feature, but we’ll keep you posted.
If you plan to visit Orlando in the coming months you may consider the Arabian Nights Dinner Show.
