The Fitzthum Family Story

Our family decided to make the Disney Trip so that our brother who has downs syndrome could see Disney World (something he has always asked for his birthday). He had never traveled before so we decided to do it. With all his brothers and sisters and some nieces and nephews, 19 of us made the trip and booked two houses side by side. We loved every bit of it.We walked the parks by day and came “home” and played in the pool all night. We were able to save money by cooking most of our meals and took turns going to the “neighbor’s” next door back and forth for supper and breakfast each day.
The trip we wanted to make special for him turned out to be special for all of us. It brought us closer together as a family. You thought of everything we might have needed and we truly felt at home!
