A holiday special you won’t want to miss in Epcot is the famous Candlelight Processional. Now in its 36th year, the Candlelight Processional is a moving presentation of the Christmas story in readings by a celebrity narrator, accompanied with music by a Mass choir and 50-piece orchestra. The 40-minute show is performed three times nightly (5, 6:45 and 8:15 p.m.) America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase. The theater is an outdoor (exposed, not climate-controlled) setting, and the show is not cancelled due to inclement weather. Remember to dress accordingly. The first performances of the Candlelight Processional are on November 24 and will feature former NBA player David Robinson (subject to change without warning). The Candlelight Processional continues until December 30. The show is included in your admission to Epcot. There is, however, a lunch/dinner package available for purchase that includes a ticket to Preferred Seating for the Candlelight Processional.
TIP: If it’s important to you to get a seat, you’ll need to line up at least an hour in advance — this show is extremely popular and gets very crowded! If you don’t get a seat, though, it’s still possible to see the show. It may not be the optimal way to enjoy the program, but you can stand at the back of the theater to listen to the readings and the music.
Happy Holidays to you and yours from AllEarsNet.com!
